The Granary

The Granary stands on the site of the old farmyard grain store from which it takes its name. It is a beautifully converted and imposing 2 storey cottage, with bespoke oak staircase, log burner and ash panelled ceilings in the lounge and bedrooms 1 and 2.

The Granary is a south facing cottage with simply stunning views over the fishing lakes, Lincolnshire Wolds and Belchford Valley.

On the ground floor are the kitchen, dining room, family bathroom and 2 bedrooms. The dining room is light and spacious and leads directly to the fitted kitchen which offers an excellent range of pots, pans, utensils and glassware together with kitchen appliances including the washing machine.

The family bathroom has a bath with shower over, toilet and wash hand basin. Bedrooms two and three are on the ground floor – bedroom two is a double room, light and airy with a high ash panelled ceiling, king size double bed. Bedroom three has 4 single beds – either will take a cot.

The first-floor lounge incorporates the impressive oak stairwell and boasts a log burner, ash panelled ceiling and oak floor. It has a homely, comfortable feel to it and is the perfect place from which to enjoy the panoramic views of the countryside, whatever the weather!

Board, card games and jig saws to suit all ages are kept in the dresser and there is also easy reading and local information available.

There are plenty of spaces in the carpark. Dogs are by prior arrangement only. Fee payable on booking. Please note dogs are not to go up the staircase they need to be carried for health and safety.

A booking deposit and security fee is payable on this property to be paid one full calendar month before your arrival. Once the property has been inspected after your departure and the house is found to be in satisfactory condition and house rules adhered to, your security deposit will be returned to you within 14 days. One basket of logs is supplied, any further supply £5 per basket. If you require additional rooms please view our cottage annex - The Snug - which is (subject to availablility) to supplement all cottages. Dogs are welcome via arrangement and booking fee payable. There is a £20 charge per dog staying at Poachers Hideaway.

Local Attractions and Poachers Facilities
There are plenty of things to do localy such as: Walking on the Wolds, visiting local market towns such as: Horncastle, Louth and Woodhall Spa, not forgetting the beautiful City of Lincoln. There are also the seaside resorts of Cleethorpes and Skegness. Other interesting things to do maybe include visiting: Cadwell Park motor racing circuit or Market Raisen Racecource or one or all of the many Aviation Bomber County museums and bases to be found in Lincolnshire. We have a beautiful lake that is well stocked with fish. Willow Lake is essentially a coarse fishing lake with the beautiful Willow Lodge along with a Gas BBQ area available. We also have a fine Courtyard where you can relax in the open maybe with a nice glass of wine?

Pet Friendly Pubs
The Bluebell Inn* at Belchford, West Ashby Arms at West Ashby, Three Horseshoes at Goulceby and The Durham Ox at Thimbleby are all dog friendly. Dogs are allowed in the bar but please ring first if you wish to have a meal. * Except Saturday evening.
