Willow Lodge & BBQ Area
This is a glass house overlooking the lakes with stunning views over the valley offering protection from inclement weather! It contains cane tables and chairs and is the ideal spot to enjoy the views on a blustery day or where non-angling party members can sit and relax, protected from the elements and enjoy the fishing without getting their feet wet!
The views from the lodge are spectacular, whatever the weather and at night time it is an ideal spot for star gazing as there is little or no light pollution. The lodge is set away from the cottages and surrounded by decking. To the side is a grassed area perfect for racquet games, croquet or an afternoon's amateur cricket! A gas BBQ is available on request - gas is supplied at £5.00 per bottle.
Fishing Holidays at Poachers Hideaway
Fishermen, women and children of all ages and abilities are invited to fish our lakes. It is essentially coarse fishing with Carp (up to 25lbs), Tench, Roach and Bream but do not be surprised if you land the odd Brown Trout as there are a few in there, just to keep the small fry down. Poachers Hideaway lakes are for the exclusive use of our guests and fishing is open.
There are no “pegs”, we simply ask that you treat both the sport and habitat with respect and that children are accompanied by a responsible adult as the water is very deep in places. Although the fish are partial to tinned potatoes, sweet corn and bread. Willow Lodge is a fully enclosed glass lodge; where non-angling party members can sit and enjoy the views without getting their feet wet! This also provides an ideal area for a BBQ. Local angling shops include the Horncastle Angling Centre that can be found on North Street.
Please note the following:
• £10 per rod (£5 for juniors).
• The use of ground bait is not permitted
• No keepnets
• Barbless hooks only to be used
• All fish to be returned to the lakes
• Local angling shops include the Horncastle Angling Centre on North Street
